756 - Antique English Earthenware Biscuit Jar

Wiltshaw & Robinson.  Hand painted chrysanthemum on brown transfer.  Actually the painted enamel is the fuchsia and yellow only.  The brown and green are transfer.

Marked "W&R, Stoke on Trent, Chrysanthemum Rd No 187328" and a painted pattern number.

This company is now Carltonware.  The registration number for the mold dates to 1865 but this would have been made 1910 to 1920 by all indications.  Stoke on Trent was created 1910 and this pieces does not say England.

Stands about 5 3/4 inches.

Condition:  Great condition except it has no lid.
